Short Pieces by Harold Pinter
In the Studio Upstairs
Focusing around the short plays A Kind of Alaska and A Slight Ache we are delighted to stage a selection of Harold Pinter's sketches and short works, spanning the early and middle years of the Nobel Prize-winning writer's career. This production will take place in the more intimate atmosphere of our Studio Upstairs.
The People's Theatre built its reputation on presenting challenging and rarely-performed drama that would otherwise go unseen on Tyneside. In the past, we were one of the first theatres to regularly present Pinter's work in Newcastle; it is only fitting that the work of this great playwright should help us embark on our second century.
